Tihar Jail officials claim AAP Minister Satyendar Jain threatened them of consequences once he leaves prison
Officials from Tihar Jail have complained to the Director-General (Prisons) and submitted an incident report, stating that jailed Aam Aadmi Party minister Satyendar Jain threatened them with dire consequences. The jail officials claim that Jain allegedly threatened to take action against them once he gets out of prison and verbally abused the Additional Inspector General – Prisons (Tihar Jail), Superintendent of Jail No. 07 (SCJ-7), Deputy Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, and the Law Officer.
Jain was detained by the Enforcement Directorate in May of last year after being accused of money laundering. BJP leaders posted recordings of him receiving a massage in jail and of inmates cleaning his cell on social media the year before the elections for the Municipal Corporation of Delhi.
In an incident report made on December 8, Jaidev, Assistant Superintendent, and Parveen Kumar, Deputy Superintendent, claimed that Jain intimidated them when they went to serve him with a show-cause notice about alleged violations of prison rules in November.

Jain allegedly said to the cops, ‘Mujhe pata hai ki ye sab mote ne karvaya hai, jo law officer hai,’ according to the report. Main bahar nikalne ke baad is jail se CCTV footage is maangunga aur is SCJ-7 Rajesh Chaudhary ko bahar nikalne ke baad dekh lunga aur isae naukri karna sikha dunga. (I am aware that the police officer is conducting this. After being freed, I’ll ask for the prison’s CCTV footage and show Rajesh Chaudhary how to do his job as a SCJ.
The incident report claims that on November 25, when Chaudhary summoned Jain to his chambers in connection with the investigation, Jain allegedly said, ‘Ye saara matter political hai aur jab bhi main bahar niklunga toh saare government servants jinhone mere against kuch bhi kia hai, chahe serving ya retired, unko dekh lunga (This whole matter is political, I’ll show everyone who wronged me, whether they’re posted or retired, as soon as I’m free.)
According to Chaudhary’s complaint, he initially believed that Jain had made these remarks out of frustration, but now that he has allegedly threatened other officers, he fears that Jain will retaliate against him and other jail staff once he is released.
In the same report, Chaudhary has also requested that AAP minister Jain should be transferred to a different jail.
