75th Army Day: President Murmu, PM Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and other leaders extend wishes
As India is celebrating the 75th Army Day today, January 15, President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, and other leaders extend greetings in honour of Army Day.
President Droupadi Murmu praised the soldiers of the Indian Army and their families. President Murmu, in a tweet, said, On Army Day, let us recall countless stories of Indian Army soldiers’ sacrifices! They have always pushed the frontiers of valour and courage, and also acted as saviours in times of calamities.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed his best wishes to all Army personnel, veterans, and their families. PM Modi in a tweet said that every Indian is proud of our Army and will always be grateful to them. They have always kept our nation safe and are widely admired for their service during times of crisis, he added.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also greeted the Indian Army personnel and their families on Army Day. He tweeted, The nation salutes their indomitable courage, valour, sacrifices and service. We are proud of the Indian Army’s efforts to keep India safe and secure, he added.
Union home minister Amit Shah also extended wishes to soldiers, veterans and their families on Army Day. He tweeted, Indian Army is synonymous with valour and courage. India is proud of our Army for their resolve to keep the nation safe. We salute our Bravehearts and bow down to their supreme sacrifices, he added.
The 75th Army Day is being celebrated in Bengaluru’s Karnataka. This is the first time since 1949 that the Army Day Parade is being held outside Delhi.
