Lucknow: Mob set army officer's car on fire in Gomtinagar for objecting to loud music, video viral | WATCH
A shocking incident has come to light from Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, where an army officer’s car was set on fire by goons in broad daylight after he request them to turn down the volume. The report says that five accused has been arrested in the matter Vishal Khand area of Gomtinagar on Monday.
The clip of the burning car has been shared by an internet user name Priya Singh on Twitter. She also captioned her post in Hindi that reads major’s car torched after objecting to playing loud DJ.

Army officer Abhijit Singh alleged that Hotel Melano which is located near his residence was playing loud music. To this, he objected and asked them to turn down the volume. After a while, a mob came out from the hotel including some staff and started arguing with him. Later, the goons took the shocking move and burnt his car in front of him. In addition, Singh also alleged that the goons also damaged his property and tried to harm him too.
As per the police, Singh in his complaint said that after requesting them to turn off the loud music, he went off to sleep. On Monday at around 3.30 am, he heard a loud noise of people outside his house. To which he reacted and came out to see what is wrong. He saw some goons from the hotel set his car on fire and subsequently saw his car burning.
Police said that five accused have been arrested so far in the matter. While the six accused are still on the run and a team is trying to trace them. Reacting about the same, Additional DCP (East) Ali Abbas said that a case has been registered and further investigation is going on.
