Sai Pallavi lands in trouble for her remark on Kashmiri pandits, Bajrang Dal files complaint
South Indian actor Sai Pallavi recently landed in trouble for drawing comparison between Kashmiri Pandit genocide and killing a person for carrying a cow.
The actor courted controversy over her remark about the film The Kashmir Files. And now the Bajrang Dal has filed a complaint against her. The religious group has stated that the actor has intentionally hurt their sentiments and Sai should apologize for her mistake.
Sai Pallavi, who was on a talk show to promote her upcoming film, Virata Paravam opposite the Bahubali actor Rana Daggubati was asked about her political inclination during her college years as the film is based on one such events.
The actor replied that she comes from a very politically-neutral family. And she further went ahead and said that she keeps hearing about the right-wing and left-wing logics. But she cannot say who’s right in this debate.

While explaining her point, Sai Pallavi said that the Bollywood film The Kashmir Files shows how Kashmiri Pandits were killed back then, but even few days back a person was killed for carrying a cow because he was suspected to be a Muslim. “The attackers raised ‘Jai Shri Ram’ slogans after killing someone. What’s the difference between what happened in Kashmir and what happened recently?’ the actor added.
As soon as the interview was out, this section of the video went viral on social media and netizens seemed to be divided over Sai Pallavi’s statement. Where some users believed the actor spoke logic, other trolled her for comparing a genocide with one or two killings.
And now, the religious group Bajrang Dal has filed a complaint in the Sultan Bazar Police station in Hyderabad against the Virata Paravam’s female lead. The police in charge said that they will look into the matter and will take action after seeking legal opinion.
