Bank holidays June 2023: Banks will remain closed for 12 days, check state-wise list of holidays here

The sixth month of the year, June, has thirty days. And as we know, with each month comes some major changes in finance and banks, it is crucial to check the list of bank holidays before scheduling a bank visit.

In June, banks across different states of India will remain closed for 12 days including second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays. The month will observe festivals like Raja Sankranti, Eid-Ul-Adha, Rath Yatra, Kharchi Puja, and others.

Additionally, both private and public banks are non-functional on second and fourth Saturdays and Sundays.

The Reserve Bank of India allows public holidays with some regional holidays across different states and banks in India are regulated by the RBI including banking schedules and holidays. The RBI categorises holidays into three categories-Holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act and Real-Time Gross Settlement Holiday, Holidays under the Negotiable Instruments Act, and Banks’ Closing of Accounts.
