Bank strike on November 19, services to be impacted nationwide, check important details here
The All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) is going on a nationwide bank strike on November 19. Due to this, bank services will be impacted across the country.
The association released an official statement and said the move is due to the given absence of any concrete and positive developments warranting reconsideration of the strike. The statement further requested all their units and members to go ahead and make the strike a success.
It should be noted that November 19 falls on the third Saturday of the month and banks across the country are functional on the first and third Saturday every month. Some ATMs might run out of cash due to the strike, so it is advisable to draw cash on Friday in order to prevent any inconvenience.

Why banks across the country are going on strike on November 19?
The banks are demanding the Sanctity of the Bipartite settlement and several other developments and are protesting against the following:
- Denial of wage revision in CSB Bank
- Violation of the Bipartite settlement and ID Act
- Harassment of employees by transfers in violation of settlements
- Increasing attacks on trade unions, rights, jobs, and job security.
The United Forum came in support of the nationwide bank strike and said they extend their full support to their strike and demands. It further said the forum is also committed to bilateralism and the resolution of issues through mutual discussions.
