Disco dancer sensation Bappi Lahiri passes away, he was 69

Legendary music composer and vocalist, Bappi Lahiri died on February 15, 2022 at Mumbai hospital. He was 69 years old. He was taken to the Criticare Hospital in Mumbai’s Juhu neighbourhood, where he took his last breath. He was fondly known as Bappi da. He gained massive popularity in the 1980s and 1990s. Not only this, his work on films such as Disco Dancer, Namak Halaal, Dance Dance, Commando earned him the title of Disco King.

According to the health experts, he passed away due to OSA (obstructive sleep apnea) shortly before midnight.

After testing positive for the coronavirus in 2021, singer was taken to the Breach Candy hospital’s ICU as a precautionary measure. At his Juhu home, a wheelchair with a lift was also fitted for ease of mobility and convenience for him.

When Bappi Lahiri entered in the music industry?

Bappi Lahiri enters the music industry by film Nanha Shikari in 1973. He provided the music score in that film. Also, he disclosed  that he made his Bollywood debut as an actor in the Kishore Kumar film Badhti Ka Naam Dadhi. last year.

How Bappi Lahiri is being recognised?

Legendary music composer Bappi Lahiri is famous for his trademark gold chains. He mentioned that he wore these gold chains as they are his lucky charm. Along with this, he is famous among people by his sunglasses.

Bappi Lahiri gave his last Bollywood song in Bagghi 3 movie in 2020. The name of song was Bhankas.
