The Bihar minister said that a weight and measurement department officer took 10 litres of petrol in his car at a petrol pump and asked the staff to make a note on a register and later demanded money. The officer was suspended when the matter came to his cognizance. An honest officer was coming in his place. But they have to beat them with shoes whenever they appear.

The RJD leader said that their thrones start shaking from Patna to Delhi when he narrated the sufferings of farmers. He was asked to resign. Why should he resign? The public has the power. Further, he also challenged the Mahagathbandhan government to sack him.

The agriculture minister said that the subsidy has become a disease and it would be ended soon. He further said that these subsidy amounts would be spent on making Bajar Samiti and Mandi.

The Bihar minister also accused that the Seed Corporation had given fake paddy to farmers. It was the reason that Bihar farmers got poor-quality crops. These matters would be probed within a week and strict actions would be taken against the responsible officials.

BJP’s National Spokesperson Shehzad Jai Hind said that while Nitish Kumar tried desperately to project himself as a contender for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, his own political capital has eroded completely in Bihar. Once again RJD Minister Sudhakar Singh attacked his own Bihar government saying department officials were taking Rs 25,000 to Rs 50,000 bribes twice in 15 days!

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has been ignoring the agriculture minister for several days. He chaired a meeting in his absence to review the agriculture department’s work in the state on September 18.
