The Indian Institute of Management Studies (IIM), Bangalore conducted the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2022 on Sunday, November 27. The CAT 2022 was conducted in three phases. Candidates found the third slot a little more challenging as compared to slots 1 and 2. The overall difficulty level of CAT 2022 was moderately difficult.
Candidates who appeared in Slot 3 stated that the questions from DILR and Quant were a bit tough and time-consuming. Candidates stated that those who prepared well could get a high percentile and admission to top-notch business schools.
The actual marks a student receives on the CAT 2022 exam are known as CAT scores. This is computed based on the CAT exam format and scoring system. This represents the overall number of marks achieved throughout all sections. The CAT percentile measures how each candidate performed in relation to the other students who took the CAT exam in 2022. The CAT exam scores are converted into a scale from 100 to 0.
How to calculate CAT 2022 percentile?
- Calculate the total number of candidates (N) who participated in the CAT.
- All candidates who participated in the CAT should be given a rank (r), based on the scaled scores attained in the QA portion. If two or more applicants receive the same scaled score on the QA section, assign those candidates the same ranks.
- Calculate a candidate’s percentile score (P) for the QA section as follows: P = [(N − r)/N] x 100.
- Round off the calculated percentile score (P) of a candidate up to two decimal points.
