CBSE Class 10th, 12th practical exams 2023 begin today, check important guidelines here
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is conducting the Class 10th and Class 12th practical exams beginning today for the 2022-2023 academic session. The practical exams will continue till February 14.
Class 12th practical exam will be invigilated by external examiners across all the CBSE board-affiliated schools. The marks obtained in the practical exams are added to the overall marks of the students in the final examinations.
Practical Exams: Important Guidelines
The CBSE board practical exams will be held following the Covid guidelines.
- Students must wear masks.
- Mass gatherings are not allowed.
- Must follow social distancing.
The board has advised the schools to conduct practical exams in a batch of 15 students each. The first sub-group of 15 students may attend the lab work while the other is doing pen and paperwork.
The board has stated that strict action will be taken against the schools if they do not adhere to proper guidelines during the practical exams.

CBSE in an official notification urged the schools to ensure the timely completion of practical examinations of all students. It further asked the schools to start uploading marks or internal grades of practical exams, projects, and internal assessments from January 2, 2023. The deadline for uploading student grades is February 14.
The board also stated that the Practical Examination/Project Assessment of a student who may be absent on the day of examination due to any reason shall also be rescheduled within decided dates. However, no request for special permission beyond the schedule shall be entertained by the Board.
