Chhatriwali Twitter review: Rakul Preet Singh starrer gets mixed reactions from fans
Rakul Preet Singh starrer Chhatriwali has hit the OTT screens and is being loved by the viewers for its storyline. The romantic-comedy film is set in Haryana’s Karnal and is about a female unemployed chemistry genius, who is looking for a job and is at the same time using her skills to fight an important societal taboo of educating the youth about Sex Education.
Helmed by Tejas Deoskar, the film gives a noble message on a sensitive concept with such responsibility. Viewers are appreciating Rakul Preet Singh’s acting skills and also praising her for portraying this brave role with ease and finesse with the support of her co-stars Sumeet Vyas and Satish Kaushik.
One of the viewers wrote that the film is heartwarming and gives a social message in a subtle yet impeccable way without being preachy. Another person commented that Rakul Preet Singh delivered a mature performance and she pulled off a taboo subject with much ease.
However, a few others are calling it an average watch as a result of its glaring similarity with Nushrratt Bharuccha’s 2022 film Janhit Mein Jaari. One of the users emphasized cringy lines from the film such as ‘Humare pati homemade rasgoola khayenge woh bhi jaisa unhe pasand hai’ in the context of unprotected intercourse.
