Former Jammu and Kashmir minister Choudhary Lal Singh's car meets with an accident in Kathua
Former Jammu and Kashmir minister Choudhary Lal Singh had a narrow escape after his car met with an accident on Thursday in Kathua district. The road mishap took place on the Jammu-Pathankot highway in the Ghagwal area near Londi Morh late at night.
According to the reports, the accident occurred after Singh’s driver swerved to save the cow which came in the middle of the road. Fortunately, Singh and his driver were safe as the airbags of the car opened. The founder of the Dogra Swabhiman Sangathan Party was returning after attending a marriage function.

However, the former minister’s SUV was badly damaged from the front and is almost unrecognizable.

Chaudhary Lal Singh is a member of the 12th Legislative Assembly of Jammu and Kashmir. He was the Minister for Forest, Environment, and Ecology of J&K in the PDP-BJP coalition government in J&K. He represents the Basohli constituency in Jammu and Kashmir Assembly and is president of the Dogra Swabhimaan Sangathan.
Lal Singh, a two-time member of parliament and a three-time member of the legislature, shifted from the Congress party to the BJP in 2014. He also served as a minister in the PDP-BJP coalition government, which collapsed in June 2018 after the national party pulled out of the alliance. He was forced to quit the cabinet in 2018 on allegations that he had supported the accused in the Kathua rape case.
