CNG price surges by Rs 2.5 per KG: Total increase by Rs 9.1 in Delhi in 7 days, Rs 7 in Mumbai, check full list here
The price of Compressed Natural Gas has been hiked again in the Delhi- NCR, Mumbai, and Gujarat areas. Notably, on Thursday, there has been no increase in the rates of petrol and diesel but there has been a hike in CNG prices. There has been an increase of Rs 2.5 per KG on April 7. And, this has taken the price of CNG in Delhi to Rs 69.11 per KG.
The new surge in prices has taken the total surge by Rs 9.1 in just mere six days. In Ghaziabad, Noida, and Greater Noida, the CNG will be available at Rs 71.67 per kg. In Mumbai, Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL) has raised the CNG by Rs 7 per kilogram in Mumbai. And, due to this latest surge, CNG will be now available at Rs 67 per kg in Mumbai.
Talking about the prices of Gurugram, the CNG will now cost Rs 77.44 per kg and the new CNG prices will be effective from April 7.
Apart from this, the CNG price has also been increased in Gujarat. There has been a hike of Rs 6.5 per kg and the CNG will now cost Rs 76.89 per kg in Gujarat.
On Tuesday, Hardeep Singh Puri, the minister of petroleum and natural gas of India said in the Lok Sabha that it is because of the aftermath of the Russia-Ukraine war that the petrol prices in India have been increased by 5 per cent as against 50 per cent in some of the developed countries.
He said that India is not the only country that is impacted by the war. The Russia-Ukraine war affected the entire world.
Meanwhile, the price of a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder has been increased to Rs 949.50 in Delhi on March 22 and in some places, the LPG price has touched the mark of Rs 1,000.
