Cold Wave batters North India, memes rain on social media
For those who live in Delhi, it is that time of the year. No, we’re not referring about the Christmas celebrations. We’re referring to the freezing temperatures, brisk winds, and gloomy surroundings that annually shroud the capital, giving citizens the desire to hibernate until spring. Temperature drops below 3 degrees Celsius caused a dramatic drop in the mercury in parts of Delhi NCR, Punjab, and Haryana.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the majority of north Indian provinces, including Punjab, Haryana, and western Uttar Pradesh, have also reported experiencing severe cold on Sunday. On Christmas Day, Delhi’s minimum temperature was 5.3 degrees Celsius.
However, Mumbai seldom seems to have such a chilly environment or experience winter snowfall.
The city is predicted to suffer fog through December 31 according to the seven-day forecast from the India Meteorological Department (IMD). A minimum of roughly 6 degrees Celsius is expected.
Mumbai’s maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be about 33°C and 20°C, respectively, according to the forecast.
