Patna Police arrest couple allegedly posing as medical students and creating ruckus inside Nalanda Medical College
A couple was arrested on Wednesday by the Patna Police for allegedly posing as medical students of Bihar’s Nalanda Medical College (NMC). The couple, who were faking as students of the college, even created a ruckus when they were caught by the security guard.
According to the reports, a couple was sitting inside the campus late at night when the security guard approached them and asked them to leave. However, the couple began fighting with the security guard and refused to leave, claiming that they were medical students at the same college.
Following this incident, the security guard called the senior students to verify their identities. The seniors then claimed that the couple was not enrolled in their college, which led to a massive fight between them.
Prem Shankar Pandey, a security supervisor at the Nalanda Medical College, said when the seniors asked the couple to leave, the girl called some of her friends in their defense. The reports state that the girl’s friends reached the college premises with sharp weapons and pistols.
Soon after, the authorities informed the police about the incident. The police then intervened and stopped the fight. Panday said that on seeing the police, the men, who had arrived with some weapons, fled the spot.
According to the reports, the police have detained the couple and taken them into custody for interrogation. The police said that the girl is constantly changing her statements. Initially, she claimed to be a medical student, but during interrogation, she said she was a counseling student at a medical college.
The police said they are investigating the matter and will take action further.
