This was not the first incident of caste discrimination in Uttar Pradesh. Nearly a week ago, a teacher refused to teach a Dalit girl student at Tegnha Primary School of Gonda district in Uttar Pradesh.
A girl student shared this incident with the media. The girl student said that her teacher refused to teach her because she belonged to a Dalit community.
According to the local media reports, the teacher said that she would not teach Chamar and small caste children in her school. A video of this incident went viral on social media. One Suhel Shah wrote that such a teacher who discriminated after being educated, should not have the right to study. Education was given for rights of equality.
