A story has come to light from Tamil Nadu’s Erode district where 6 students were made to clean the government school toilet by the school authorities. The video of the young students went viral where they can be seen cleaning the toilets inside the school premises.

According to reports, one of the parent of the student learned about the the incident after her child contracted dengue. The mother asked her son where he had been going to trace back his contraction of dengue, to which the child replied that it must have been when the he was carrying out the toilet cleaning duty.

After learning about her child’s account, the mother filled a case against the principal of the government school, Geeta Rani. The school’s principal is reportedly absconding. The reports also claim that the principal had separated only the students belonging to the Schedule castes for the cleaning duty of the toilet.

In the video, 2 students can be seen cleaning the school’s toilet with a broom as one boy meticulously carries out their job. Another student also rushes in to help as they takes care of the cobweb stuck on the ceiling by using a broom stick.

Another incident of a similar nature came to light from Tamil Nadu;s Thanjavur district where a barber shop owner refused to give haircut services to the SCST people. The reports also suggest that the barber, after refusign to give haircuts to the people belonging to the SCST community, was arrested by the police and charged with SCST (Prevention of Atrocities) act.
