Ahead of the Delhi municipal elections, the councilors are trying every possible thing to woo the voters. Recently, an Aam Aadmi Party councillor from East Delhi jumped into a pool of sewage to clean it up in Shastri Park. The video of the same is being widely circulated on the internet but what amused the people was that after jumping in sewage, the councilor was seen taking a milk bath.

AAP councillor Haseeb-ul-Hasan was seen in the video, in which he was seen standing chest-deep in the sewage drain in a white kurta, and was using a rake to remove the floating debris.

After he was done with the clean-up, Hasan’s supporters were seen giving him a milk bath in the same iconic Anil Kapoor style from the film Nayak. The videos of the same are doing rounds on the internet.

AAP councillor Hasan said that the drain was overflowing from the past few days and there were several complaints about it, but the BJP councillor and the local MLA have not looked into the matter. So, he decided to jump into the matter and he literally took a dive into that.

The local MLA from that area is BJP’s Anil Kumar Bajpai.

Recently, BJP and AAP are involved in a clash for weeks over the Centre’s plan to join the three civic bodies of Delhi, and on Tuesday, March 22, the bill got the nod from the Union Cabinet.

In the Delhi Municipal Corporation (Amendment) Bill, the three civic bodies that are the South Delhi Municipal Corporation, North Delhi Municipal Corporation, and East Delhi Municipal Corporation are going to amalgamate and the bill is going to be tabled in the ongoing Parliament session.
