Desi Boyz 2: Will Anand Pandit bring back Akshay Kumar and John Abraham together after their rumoured feud?

Akshay Kumar and John Abraham have been hailed as one of the funniest and most spontaneous comic duos since they first came together in Garam Masala. The audience enjoyed their chemistry so much that they came together again in Desi Boyz and Housefull 2. Since then, the fans are eagerly waiting for the duo to be seen again and after a long time, we might be able to enjoy that with the Desi Boyz sequel.

Desi Boyz, directed by Rohit Dhawan, also starred Deepika Padukone and Chitrangada Singh and was released in 2011.

The film performed averagely at the box office but producer Anand Pandit had mentioned several times that the film will have another part. The sequel was just confirmed a few days ago in an interview by Pandit.

On being asked if Akshay Kumar and John Abraham will be cast in Desi Boyz 2, he said, for him, the script is very important, and depending on the script he will have the cast. He was not sure about having the same cast or a new cast or a mix-and-match cast because he wants to make this a younger film.

The duo are rumoured to not share a good equation anymore as they got into a clash in 2018, due to the coinciding releases of their films Gold and Satyamev Jayate. It will be a delight for the fans if they decide to make amends and return to the silver screen.

For Akshay Kumar, the year looks promising as he is to be seen in Sky Force, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and the Hindi remake of Soorarai Potturu while John Abraham will be seen in Tehran next.

Apart from Desi Boyz 2, Anand Pandit is also prepping for his Kannada film Kabzaa. Starring Upendra, Shiva Rajkumar, Kiccha Sudeepa, and Shriya Saran, the film will also release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam across the country.
