Dhak Dhak: Taapsee Pannu announces her next road trip film starring Dia Mirza, Ratna Pathak Shah, Sanjana Sanghi and Fatima Sana Shaikh
Bollywood actor Tapsee Pannu has announced her next film with a strong female star-studded cast. Titled as Dhak Dhak, the film has Ratna Pathak Shah, Fatima Sana Sheikh Dia Mirza and Sanjana Sanghi in lead roles. However, it will be interesting to see whether Tapsee will have a cameo in the film or will she just play the role of a producer here.
Tapsee Pannu’s production house ‘Outsiders Films’ has collaborated with Viacom18 Studios to launch their next road trip film. The movie is being directed by Taun Dudeja and is co-produced by Pranjal Khandhdiya and Ayush Maheshwari.
Dhak Dhak seems like a story of four independent women on a life-changing journey. The pictures released by the lead actors shows all of then on a motorbike. Hence it won’t be wrong to say that the film will give the ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ vibe but at the Indian locations.
Talking about this project, producer and actor Tapsee Pannu said that the film is an attempt to give audiences such a visual experience that Indian have not witnessed yet. The movie will narrate a story of four women from different backgrounds who will eventually realise that freedom needs to be owned and not given or asked.
Viacom18 Studios have played crucial part in Tapsee’s film journey. She made her Bollywood Debut with Viacom 18’s Chashme Baddoor. She is also working for the cricket biopic of Indian women’s Cricket Team’s captain, Mithali Raj. The film is also produced by Viacom 18 and now finally Tapsee will work as a co-producer for Dhak Dhak along with Viacom 18 studios.
On the work front, Tapsee is currently busy with the Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki along side Shah Rukh Khan. The actor herself has said that this is the highest achievement of her life to share screen space with SRK and get directed by Rajkumar Hirani.
