E-rickshaw carrying crackers catches fire during jagannath yatra in Greater Noida, one dead | Watch

A disturbing story has come to light from Uttar Pradesh’s Greater Noida where an E-rikshaw carrying firecrackers caught on fire on Monday which led to an explosion. The video of the incident was also caught on CCTV.

The incident reportedly ensued in the Dadri area of Noida on Monday.

As per the reports, the explosion in the E-Rikshaw led to two people getting injured in the horror incident. The two victims were rushed to the hospital after which one of the victims succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday.

The incident unfolded when a few people who were part of the Jagannath Yatra were bursting crackers after which one firecracker landed on the E-Rikshaw which led to the E-Rikshaw catching fire.

In the horrific video, a crowd can be seen continuing their daily activities as Jagannath Yatra continues, however, a sudden turn of events led to the E-rikshaw catching fire and bursting up in flames.

The people around the vehicle can be seen fleeing and running away from the incident. Subsequently, after the fire-crackers stopped bursting, the people can be seen rushing back to help out the victims and alarming others.

As per the reports, the two injured has been identified as Papu and Salman. Salman succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday, whereas, Papu is undergoing treatment.

The police have also taken cognizance of the case and have taken the required legal actions in the matter, according to reports.

After the video went viral, many users came forward to add their take on the incident as one user wrote and highlighted that there are no safety protocols followed while using and storing fireworks. The user also demanded the persons responsible be reprimanded.

Several others were shocked by the footage caught on camera as one user wrote and termed the incident to be saddening.
