Falguni Pathak on Thursday went on a story spree where she reposted and echoed the sentiments of fans who have come forward, enraged with Neha Kakkar’s new song. Neha Kakkar’s new O Sajna was released earlier this week. The song is said to be a contemporary take on an original classic, Payal Hai Chanka, by Falguni Pathak.
Since its release, Neha Kakkar’s song, despite trending on YouTube, was subjected to a lot of flak as fans plagued the comment section with repartees echoing how old is gold, implying that the song, which took after Falguni Pathak’s 1999 classic, will never match the original.
Falguni on her Instagram account reshared the stories put up by fans who disliked and showed their disapproval toward Neha Kakkar’s song and added how the singer is ruining a classic song. Among the stories reposted by Falguni, there was one that wrote and requested Kakkar to produce original content and stop remaking and earning money off of content that is already made.
The user also extended an empathetic apology to Falguni Pathak and also apologized to people’s childhood memory which has been ruined Kakkar released the contemporary remake.
Another user, while sharing the same sentiments, wrote and asked the musician how low can she go and also requested the singer, Neha Kakkar to stop ruining old classics for people.
The music video of O Sajna, features Priyank Sharma, Dhanshree Verma, and Neha Kakkar playing out their roles according to the music video. Neha Kakkar is also the singer of the video whereas, Music was done by Tanishk Bagchi. Jani, a renowned and celebrated lyricist gave his input to the lyrics of the song.
Neha Kakkar and her brother Tony Kakkar are often trolled by the fans for their lack of quality in their delivery of music and also for remixing originals. They are blamed for bringing the notion of remixes into the industry which has not only ruined the originals but also hasn’t added anything worthy for listening to the table.
On the work front, Falguni Pathak released her new song, which is being considered an anthem for Dandiya, ahead of Navratri 2022i. The song has garnered a lot of love as 4.3 million people have streamed the song on Youtube.
