National Award-winning Director Hansal Mehta unveiled the trailer of his upcoming film Faraaz on T-Series’ YouTube channel today. Faraaz will mark the debut of the late actor Shashi Kapoor’s grandson and Kunal Kapoor’s son, Zahaan Kapoor. The action-thriller film is based on the events of the real-life terror attack that took place at a Dhaka cafe in 2016.

Based on the real-life terrorist attack that ravaged a Dhaka cafe, Faraaz follows events that unfold over one claustrophobic night, molded into a heart-wrenching hostage drama. An untold heroic tale about a young boy who stood tall in the darkest times.
Faraaz trailer has received mixed reviews from movie buffs. One of the users wrote, Haven’t waited for any film in the recent past as much as I have waited for this one. Brilliant trailer.
Another person from Bangladesh commented that this trailer made him cry. He said he remembered the day when it happened, adding that he was close to the Gulshan area that night. What a sad and gloomy day it was for Bangladesh, he added.

Directed by Hansal Mehta and bankrolled by Anubhav Sinha, Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Sahil Saigal, Sakshi Bhatt and Mazahir Mandasaurwala, Faraaz is slated to hit theaters on February 3, 2023. Along with Zahaan Kapoor, it also stars Aditya Rawal, Juhi Babbar Soni, Aamir Ali, Jatin Sarin, Ninad Bhatt, Harshal Pawar, Palak Lalwani and Reshhan Sahaani.
