Game of Thrones: Kit Harington is all set to reprise his role as Jon Snow in GOT’s sequel series
An untitled Game of Thrones spin-off is in early development at HBO. The sequel will have actor Kit Harington reprising his role as Jon Snow as the main lead on the show.
Confirmed by Hollywood Reporter, the untitled project will continue from where the pervious series left off. Game of Throne is one of the most watches Television series ever made and had a brilliant run for almost a decade between 2011 and 2019. The show starring Kit Harington, Emilia Clarke, Sophie Turner, Peter Dinklage and several others became one of the biggest television series of all time.

And now set in the world of George RR Martin’s fantasy books, the new show is the first of Game of Thrones spin-offs to be a sequel, which also means that HBO will extend Martin’s world beyond the written material, ironical to what was previously thought to be the end of the saga. Moreover, RR Martin has not yet finished writing the books. Fans have been waiting for 11 years for the sixth of the seven books.
HBO’s adaptation ended with Snow realising that he is not the bastard son of Ned Stark, but a possible heir to the iron throne. However, in the final scenes of GOT Season 8, Jon Snow went into exile from Westeros to the wall.
However, it is still unclear whether any familiar faces who were still living at the end of Game of Thrones, especially the Stark siblings such as Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) or Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) could appear in the show.
While Peter Dinklage won the Emmys for his role of Tyrion Lannister, Kit Harington was nominated for two Emmys for his role of Jon Snow. Game of Thrones also won the Emmys for being the best show over a decade.
