Upcoming Marvel series actor Gaspard Ulliel passes away at 37, ski accident reported
In an unfortunate incident, Gaspard Ulliel passed away on Wednesday, 20 January, 2022. The reason behind his death has been revealed to be a head injury, followed by a collision while skiing at La Rosiére resort on Savoie, France.
According to reports, the Hannibal Rising actor was out skiing in the Savoie region in France. He suffered a terrible collision that resulted in some injuries. Ulliel was taken to a hospital in Grenoble through helicopter. Unfortunately, he could not recover from his head injury.
Ulliel was one of the most famous names in French Cinema. He is set to appear in Marvel’s TV series Moon Knight, in the role of Anton Mogart, also known as the Midnight Man. Moon Knight is set to premiere on Disney+ on March 10, 2022. Oscar Isaac, Ethan Hawk, Lucy Thackeray and May Calamawy also star in the series.
Gaspard Ulliel’s loss is a grave one. He was known to portray each of his character with utter precision. His fans have been grieving the loss of their favourite star, and are constantly sharing their feelings on social media.
Ulliel was born on November 25, 1984, in Boulogne-Billancourt, and is famously known for playing young Hannibal Lecter in Hannibal Rising, and fashion mogul Yves Saint Laurent in the biopic Saint Laurent. He was also the face of Chanel’s Bleu de Chanel fragrance. He won many awards throughout his career. In 2002 and 2003, he was nominated for a Cesar Award for Most Promising Actor. Ulliel won the award in 2004 for his part in Audrey Tautou’s film A Very Long Engagement. For his portrayal in Xavier Dolan’s It’s Only the End of the World, he won the Cesar Award for Best Actor in 2017. He also received two Lumiere Awards, one for Saint Laurent and the other for Summer Things in 2003.
The French actor was in a committed relationship with model and singer Gaëlle Pietri. They have a son together.
