GAT-B 2022 registration started, check marking scheme, exam pattern here
As per the official notification, the Graduate Aptitude Test- Biotechnology (GAT-B) application 2022 form has been released online by the National Testing Agency. Candidates can visit the official website, which is dbt.nta.ac.in to apply for the exam.
Along with the release of the GAT-B registration form, the information bulletin and exam dates have also been released by the authorities. Applicants who are interested to apply for the GAT-B 2022 can apply from March 11, 2022 to March 31, 2022.
When will the GAT-B 2022 exam be held?
As per the latest schedule, GAT-B 2022 examination will be conducted on April 23, 2022 from 9 am to 12 pm. It will be a computer-based mode exam (CBT).

What is the pattern of the GAT-B 2022 examination?
The GAT-B examination 2022 will be held for 3 hours. There will be two sections i.e, Section A and Section B. Section A has Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of 10+2 level from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology subjects. While, section B has Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) of Bachelor’s level from Basic Biology, Life Sciences, Biotechnology subjects, and all allied areas.
Applicants have to attempt at least 120 questions in the GAT-B 2022 examination from 160 questions.
What is the marking scheme of the GAT-B exam 2022?
- Section A: For every correct answer, 1 mark will be given.There is negative marking. For every wrong number, 0.5 marks will be deducted.
- Section B: Three marks will be given for each correct answer. This section also has negative marking. For every wrong number, one mark will be deducted
