Gullak Season 3: In the era of Netflix, Gullak takes you back to 90s with its freshness and simplicity; fans appreciate series' storyline, cast on Twitter
The third season of Gullak is here and it’s all praises. Just like its previous seasons, Gullak Season 3 packs a similar punch but in a most dramatic way. Gullak is a story of a typical north Indian middle-class family that comes with a package of sweet and spicy ordinary moments. From nosy neighbours to unexpected guests to office politics, the web series gives a glimpse of ordinary life with everyday issues.
The writing complements the excellent performances of the cast. The episodes are written in the most straightforward manner possible, with no innuendos, laughter tracks, or situational humour, all of which have become staples of Indian sitcoms. Except for a flying chappal or two, there is no violence and there isn’t much drama, either. Despite this, it holds the audience’s attention and is a joy to watch.
Even though this season isn’t light as it was once but Gullak retains its freshness and simplicity in its third season. One of the users tweeted, finally, binge-watched Gullak Season 3 and the wait was worth it; itni badhiya acting, itni relatable storyline and itne emotional scenes. Another quipped that the Gullak series shows us the real story of middle-class families. You can’t miss this series.
Appreciating the storyline, writing, and cast, a user shared his opinion on Twitter. He wrote Gullak is a story of every household. HATRICK for the best family show ever made. Brilliant writing. It is really tough to maintain the balance of Life, Family, Emotion, and Reality for this long but Gullak is an exception. Many more seasons to come, he added.
In this era of Netflix, Gullak takes you back to successful DD shows like Nukkad, Ye Jo Hai Zindagi, and Wagle Ki Duniya, which were similar in tone and themes.
The series revolves around the Mishra family, comprising Santosh and Shanti Mishra and their sons Anand Mishra and Aman Mishra, and features Jameel Khan, Geetanjali Kulkarni, Vaibhav Raj Gupta, and Harsh Mayar in the lead roles, with Sunita Rajwar as their neighbour. Gullak is created by Shreyansh Pandey for SonyLIV under the banner of The Viral Fever.
