Building collapses in Gurugram during demolition, 1 dead, 3 injured
One dead and three others were injured after an old factory, which was being demolished in Haryana’s Gurugram, collapsed on Monday. The incident took place at Udyog Vihar Phase 1 at around 8 am.
The three-storey building has been under demolition since September 26. According to the officials, the two floors of the factory were already razed and the workers were demolishing the last floor when the mishap occurred.
Lalit Kumar, a fire official told the media that as per preliminary information, two to three labourers were feared trapped after a building being demolished, collapsed. Rescue operation on.
The police, along with the fire brigade and civil defense team, reached the spot as soon as they received information about the incident and soon started the evacuation process. The officials evacuated four labourers trapped under the debris.

Deepak Saharan, Deputy Commissioner of Police (west), said that a rescue operation is on and the team of NDRF, Ghaziabad, was also informed.
Further investigations are underway.
On Sunday, a 31-year-old man was killed after a portion of a residential building collapsed in Bonkode locality in the Koparkhairne area in Navi Mumbai. According to the reports, when the building was leaning, the residents started vacating the building but the man was in the washroom.
The police and fire brigade team reached the spot and started the evacuation process. However, the man’s body was recovered from the debris. Reportedly, the Chavhan building was constructed in 2007 and 35 families lived there. No other casualty is reported in the incident.
Earlier, a four-storey building that was under construction collapsed in North Delhi’s Azad market. Four people were injured in the mishap. Deputy Commissioner of Police (north) Sagar Singh Kalsi said the building may have collapsed due to overloading.
