Hyderabad: Minor boy stripped, tortured by spraying chilli on his private parts by shopkeeper over soft-drink theft
A harrowing story has come to light from Hyderabad where a shop owner reportedly took it upon his own hands for penalising a 10-year-old minor boy for allegedly stealing a soft drink. According to reports, the shop owner had taken the boy and tied, stripped and rubbed chilli powder on the minor’s private parts to teach him a lesson for stealing.
The shop owner has been identified as Krishna.
The blood-boiling video of the shop owner committing the crime had surfaced on the internet where the boy was seen weeping and seeking for mercy from the shop owner, however, didn’t stop and continued on. The boy was also seen in the video admitting to some of the crimes he was alleged of.
The boy was reportedly taken to the terrace and was tied down with a nylon wire as the boy wailed in pain after being restrained by the shop owner. According to reports the 30-year-old shop owner also threatened the boy while committing the heinous crime.
After the incident, the minor’s mother had approached the Hyderabad police on Monday night and filed a complaint after she learnt what happened.

Relative’s statement
While talking to the media, the mother of the child, denied the allegations made by the shop owner and stated that the allegations against her 10-year-old son were false and added that he might have only moved or touched the soft drink which the shop owner mistook for stealing.
The boy’s uncle also talked to the media and blasted the shop owner on his actions as he asked why the family of the boy were not informed and shown the CCTV footage of the alleged theft. Boy’s uncle further added how the shop owner take the boy to his house and thrash him.
The minor’s uncle had also alleged that the 10-year-old boy was beaten with a pipe as well.
Police’s statement and action
The Hyderabad police have taken the shop owner, identified as Krishna, and have invoked charges of voluntarily causing hurt, wrongful confinement and criminal intimidation.
A police official while talking to the media also stated that the shop owner had alleged that the child had often stolen from the shop and he was trying to scare the boy in order to stop stealing.
