ICC declares Virat Kohli as player of the month for October

Indain cricketer Virat Kohli has been chosen by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as the Player of the Month for October. Kohli is in excellent form in the ongoing T20 World Cup in Australia. He has played 5 matches and scored 246 runs at an average of 123. The strike rate has been 138.98. Virat is the highest run scorer in this mega tournament.

In October, Kohli played four T20 matches and scored 205 runs. During this he scored 2 fifties and his average was 205.

Historic innings against Pakistan

In their first match of the World Cup, team India defeated Pakistan by 4 wickets. In this match, Kohli played an unbeaten innings of 82 runs. He handled Team India, who lost 4 wickets for 31 runs. 113-run partnership with Hardik Pandya. When 16 runs were needed in the last over, it was Kohli who showed the team the way to victory by hitting a six off the no ball. He was adjudged player of the match.
