On the day fourth Test between India and Australia in the Border Gavaskar trophy, Blues star batter Virat Kohli followed suit with Shubman Gill and knocked a century in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad stadium. Kohli’s century made him tie with Sunil Gavaskar’s with 8th century in becoming the most Test century scored by an Indian against Australia.

Kohli can now hope to achieve Indian cricket legend, Sachin Tendulkar. The star batsman’s knock also came to end a prolonged drought as Kohli failed to get three figures in Test since 2019. At the moment, Kohli continues to bat at 119 with Axar Patel’s partnership.

Virat Kohli’s performance comes a day after Shubman gill registered his 2nd century in a test format against the Aussies on Day 3 of the fourth Test. After Gill delivered an inspiring performance, Kohli followed suit on day 4 with his stellar performance.

The Indian team continues to trail against the Aussies by 36 runs.

One user shared an image of Virat Kohli celebrating his century as the picture showed Steve Smith appreciating the Indian Batsman’s knock. One user also shared the fans bowing to Virat Kohli after his innings and termed the Indian batsman as king.

One user also wrote and discerningly highlighted a pattern where they wrote how Virat Kohli visited Kainchi Dham before his 73rd Century and then subsequently Vrindavan before 74th Century and then Mahakaleshwar before his 75th Century. The user further wrote that by the time Kohli reaches his 100th century, he will probably have visited more temples than the user’s parents.
