IND vs ENG: Virat Kohli dismisses Jonny Bairstow with a flying kiss after he departs at 104
Jonny Bairstow entered the beast mode after he had a verbal spat with former Indian skipper Virat Kohli. He scored 104 after struggling on the second day and the first session on the 3rd day of IND vs ENG 5th Test.
However, the highlight of Jonny’s innings was his verbal spat with Kohli. While Bairstow was struggling to time the ball, Virat was sledging the English batsman to not let him focus. But Jonny did not only score his 5th Test century in 2022 but also brought England back in the game.
Jonny departed at 104 on Shami’s fast ball, and while hitting the outside edge it was Virat Kohli who took the catch and dismissed man-in-form Jonny Bairstow with a flying kiss.
Since yesterday, Virat Kohli was sledging Bairstow to break his concentration. However, things turned ugly when Jonny replied to the former Indian skipper and Kohli being Kohli, he didn’t hold back and said, “Shut up, go stand there and bat.”
Later after the over got over, Umpire and England captain Ben Stokes intervened and asked Virat Kohli about what went wrong. Virat Kohli was seen explaining himself to the umpire and later even was seen sharing a light moment with Ben Stokes. Virat Kohli even passed by Jonny Bairstow and tapped his shoulder.
However, this is not for the first time that Virat tried to sledge Jonny Bairstow in the ongoing IND vs ENF Test series. Yesterday also on Day 2 also Virat was seen sledging Bairstow using Tim Southee’s name. However, later at the end of the game, they were seen smiling and showing sportsmen spirit.
