Not worried about India-China border, says Union Home Minister Amit Shah
Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressed an event in Devanahalli in Karnataka’s Bengaluru
where he said that he is not worried about the India-China border. Shah’s statement comes after the recent India-China border transgression which happened in early December.
The Union Home Minister in his address at the event also praised the ITBP soldiers and said that people of India have nicknamed ITBP soldiers as Himveer and added that the nickname given by people is bigger than Padma Vibhushan.
The Union Home Minister also said that he is not worried about the India-China border issue as the ITBP soldiers are guarding the border. Shah also said that as long as the ITBP soldiers are there at the border, no one has the audacity to gain one inch of India’s land.
The comments by the Union Home Minister comes after the recent uproar and consistent attacks by the opposition party’s who alleged the Centre’s complacency on the China-Border transgression.
He had also added that injuries on both sides were reported in the whole transgression, however, he said that there were no fatalities due to the whole incident. He also told that the Indian troops responded to China’s land grab attempt in a firm and resolute manner.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh told the parliament that on December 9 the Indian troops fended off the Chinese troops after China’s attempt at land grab. The Defence Minister in his statement in the Parliament also said that the Indian troops fended off the Chinese and forced them back to their stations.
After the Defence Minister’s statement, the opposition party’s led by Sonia Gandhi staged a walkout after being dissatisfied by the Defence Minister’s statement. The opposition party’s had sought a clarification, however, the Rajya Sabha’s deputy chairman denied permission by citing that clarifications on sensitive issues were not allowed.
After the Deputy Chairman’s refusal in giving permission, the opposition party’s staged a walkout in protest.
