In its opening and thrilling encounter against the Lucknow Supergiants, the newly added team Gujarat Titans pacer Mohammad Shami on Monday accounted for KL Rahul off the first ball, and then came back to dismiss Manish Pandey and Quinton de Kock with some brilliant bowling.

Mohammed Shami’s sensational spell reduced Lucknow Supergiants to 32/4 in Gujarat’s season opener. Riding on his efforts, Gujarat Titans restricted Super Giants to 158/6 in 20 overs as Shami scalped three wickets in his four overs.

The experienced pacer was then signed by the Gujarat Titans for Rs 6.5 crore getting more than thrice of his base price Rs 2 crore. Shami is likely to lead the bowling attack for the GT along with Lockie Ferguson, Rashid Khan and others.
