IPL 2022: Virat Kohli sportingly responds to golden duck wickets, AB de Villiers and criticism over his form

Former Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper, Virat Kohli recently opened up to criticism and his golden ducks. The cricketer also revealed that former RCB player Ab de Villiers will make a comeback to the IPL team in some capacity.

Former Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper, Virat Kohli recently opened up to criticism and his golden ducks. The cricketer also revealed that former RCB player Ab de Villiers will make a comeback to the IPL team in some capacity.

Speaking to Mr Nags, a comical character played by content creator Danish Sait for the RCB, Kohli revealed that he is always unbothered by the outside noise because he never witnesses any on TV neither on social media. Kohli recently had to face three golden duck wickets and the sight was as painful for his fans as it must have been for the cricketer.

Talking about his golden duck wickets Virat Kohli said that he couldn’t believe that he lost his wicket at a golden duck that too on the first ball. He further added, “that’s why I smiled at the second one because I felt like there’s nothing new left for me to see. The game of cricket has shown me everything possible.”

When asked about ABD, the former skipper said that he misses AB de Villiers and talks regularly to him via phone calls. And ending the much speculation on AB’s return to the team, Virat Kohli said that AB de Villiers will join RCB next year in some capacities.

As soon as the news was out, RCB fans were excited on the return on their favorite player. However, it will be interesting to see that what responsibility will be handed over to AB de Villiers, whether he will become the batting coach or the mentor of Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Former South Africa cricketer was one of the biggest names in IPL. But the player announced his from all forms of cricket ahead of the ongoing season.

Lastly, talking about the current captain of RCB, Virat Kohli said that he has always had a friendly relation with Faf DuPlessis as he was the captain of South Africa and both have had several interactions on and off field. Virat added that both have a mutual level of respect for each other.
