While people have been calling out Virat Kohli for his lowest scoring tournament, former Indian opener Virendra Sehwag has also bombarded former Indian skipper with severe harsh comments. Sehwag said that Virat disappointed his millions of fans as everyone expected him to own the big stage.

RCB has been eliminated in the qualifier 2 after losing to Rajasthan Royals with 7 wickets. The big game was very important for the franchise to enter the finals and win their first ever title. But unfortunately, the senior players did not perform according to the expectation and their 12 years of dream remains unfulfilled.

However, in between these defeats and victories, one thing that remained constant was Virat Kohli’s form. Talking about the same, Virendra Sehwag said that this is a new Kohli who has committed more mistakes in one tournament than in his entire cricket career.

Talking to Cricbuzz, Sehwag said that the current phase that Virat is dealing with, is a reason of too much experimenting, as the former Indian skipper has got out in every way possible. “It happens when you are not scoring runs. And Virat is trying to look at various options to get out of his bad patch and that has led him to getting dismissed in various ways. Virat Kohli has got out in all possible ways that one can think of,” Sehwag said.

Former Indian and RCB skipper, Virat Kohli played 16 matches this season of IPL and managed to score only 341 runs. He got dismissed for three golden ducks, that too on the first balls and has batted at a below-par average of 22.73, which includes two half-centuries. This is the lowest for Virat in any tournament and the cricketer will be rested for the upcoming T20 series against South Africa. He will join team India for the fifth England test.
