Bumrah has been out of the team for the last five months due to back stress injury. According to reports, Bumrah may undergo back surgery soon. Bumrah has not yet recovered from the injury. Due to this injury, Bumrah could not play Asia Cup and T20 World Cup last year. At the same time, it is almost certain that India will reach the final of the World Test Championship. In such a situation, Bumrah will not be able to play even in the final of the World Test Championship to be held at The Oval from June 7.
The BCCI medical staff at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru is serious about Bumrah’s case and is helping him in every way. Along with this, complete treatment is also being given to the Indian pacer. In such a situation, the NCA staff suggested Bumrah to undergo surgery in his lower back.
Keeping in mind the ODI World Cup to be held in India in October-November, BCCI may soon take a decision on surgery and other options after talking to NCA and Bumrah.
