Watch: Speeding Mahindra Thar runs over pedestrian walking on Janpath footpath

Horrific video of a hit-and-run incident from Janpath in Delhi, in which a speeding car runs over a man and drives away, emerged on Wednesday.

The incident took place on Wednesday morning and the CCTV footage of the incident has gone viral now.

The CCTV footage of the incident shows the SUV speeding after which it runs over a pedestrian, thereby killing him on the spot.

The pedestrian, 39, has been identified by the police.

A speeding Thar crushed a man walking on the roadside. However, the SUV driver did not stop the car after the incident and is still missing, the police said.

This is not the first time that an SUV has run over a walking pedestrian. The same Thar was running over the protesting farmers by the Minister of State Ajaya Mishra Teni’s son Ashish Mishra in Lakhimpur Kheri where 8 people including a local journalist, farmers and the BJP workers had died in the incident.

The junior Teni was run over Thar on farmers while they were marching against the Centre’s three farm laws.

Last year in October, a policeman’s speeding SUV had ran over two pedestrian girls on the Jalandhar-Phagwara highway in Punjab.
