JEE Main 2023: Application form, registration, date, exam schedule and other details

The National Testing Agency will release the applications for the Engineering Entrance Test- Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2023 in November. According to the reports, the application-cum-registration form will be available by the third week of November. Candidates can check the application form on the official website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.

Almost 9.5 lakh people apply for the JEE Main Test. This year’s candidate pool is expected to be similar to last year’s. A total of 10,26,799 students have applied for the JEE Main 2022 test in 2022. Up to 905,590 of these students took the exam.

JEE Main exam 2023

JEE Main 2023 exam will be conducted in January 2023 and April 2023. The JEE Main 2023 examinations will be held in two sessions, just like the previous year. JEE Main 2022 Session 1 exams were conducted from June 23 to 29, 2022, and Session 2 was conducted from July 25 to 30, 2022.

Section A will consist of multiple-choice questions (MCQs), whilst Section B will consist of questions that must be answered with a number value.

Section A is mandatory, and it awards four points for each correct answer while deducting one point for each incorrect answer. Section B requires candidates to attempt any five of the ten questions. Section B will not have any failing grades.

JEE Main 2023 Ranks

According to the notification, the ranks will be calculated as per the marks obtained by candidates in any of the two sessions- one in January and another one in April.

Only the JEE Main qualifying candidates can apply further for JEE Advanced and then will be considered eligible for admission into IITs. Besides IITs, candidates can apply for admission into NITs, CFTIs, etc.
