Marvel star Jeremy Renner aka Hawkeye critical after weather-related accident in Nevada
Jeremy Renner alias Hawkeye, a star of the Marvel franchise, was injured while ploughing snow on Saturday and was taken to the hospital. His condition is severe but stable.
A spokeswoman for the Hawkeye actor confirmed that Jeremy was in critical but stable condition with injuries sustained after encountering a weather-related mishap while ploughing snow earlier in the day. A spokesman told Variety that his family was with him and he was receiving excellent care.
Media reports says that although while the precise site of the accident remains unknown, Renner has lived in Washoe County, Nevada, for many years, according to the Reno Gazette-Journal. According to the publication, a blizzard around New Year’s Eve dumped a lot of snow in that part of northern Nevada. According to the Reno Gazette-Journal, the area was hit by a winter storm on New Year’s Eve that caused 35,000 residences in Northern Nevada’s Washoe, Carson, Douglas, Storey, and Lyon’s counties to lose power as of this morning.
The Mayor of Kingstown, a returning Paramount+ series, and Marvel’s Hawkeye series on Disney+, as well as the Avengers and Captain America movies, are all starring roles for Renner, a two-time Oscar contender, according to a report by the US news source Deadline.
For ‘The Hurt Locker,’ Renner received an Oscar nomination for Best Actor in 2010, and for ‘The Town,’ the following year, he received a nomination for Supporting Actor.
‘Mayor of Kingstown’ returns for a second season on January 15 on Paramount+. The show’s creators are Hugh Dillon and Taylor Sheridan. Renner also starred in Sheridan’s 2017 drama Wind River.

Earlier, the actor shared multiple videos of himself operating a snow plough on Instagram, tagging one with the caption ‘Nearly done with sledding slope for the kids.’
Renner will next be seen in the second season of Mayor of Kingstown, which premieres in two weeks.
