Kanjhawala killing: AAP spokesperson Saurabh Bhardwaj claims one accused is a BJP member, CM Arvind Kejriwal demands death penalty for all 5 accused
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has made a big allegation against the BJP in Delhi’s Sultanpuri police station area for dragging a girl for several kilometers in a car and killing her. AAP’s chief spokesperson Saurabh Bhardwaj said that one of the accused involved in the incident is a member of the BJP.
He further added that Manoj Mittal, one of the five accused arrested in the case, is a member of the BJP. He said that LG Vinay Kumar Saxena is trying to save senior officers in the Delhi Police.
Sharing pictures of Mangolpuri police station, Bhardwaj said it is ironic that right next to the police station there is a hoarding, which has Mittal’s photo and identifies him as a BJP member. Responding to AAP’s allegation, Delhi BJP media cell head Harish Khurana said that the police have arrested the accused. According to a PTI report, he said that the culprits should be given the harshest punishment, irrespective of which party they belong to.
On the other hand, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today sought death penalty for five people who allegedly dragged a 20-year-old woman for several kilometers after hitting her scooty with a car. Describing this case as the rarest of the rare, the Chief Minister said that such people should be hanged. He said, ‘What happened to the woman is very shameful and the culprits should be punished severely. They should be hanged.’
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal spoke to the LG on the painful death of the girl in Kanjhawala. According to Kejriwal, Vinay Kumar Saxena has assured strict action against the accused. In this regard, Arvind Kejriwal himself tweeted and revealed that he spoke to Honorable LG on Kanjhawala incident and requested him to take exemplary action against the culprits, strictest sections of IPC should be imposed against them. He further wrote that even if the accused have high political connections, no leniency should be shown towards them.
