In the now-viral video, shared by a Twitter user, a reporter could be seen in a shelter for devotees inside a Hanuman temple in the city. The reporter goes on and says not one but multiple cops on duty are resting. He then asks the cameraperson to give a sneak peek of the room where policemen try to escape the scene.

The reporter doesn’t stop here and take the camera to a cop covered in sheets and sleeping. The cop, who is allegedly under Uttar Pradesh Traffic Police, tries to hide his face and claims to be sick. However, the reporter removes the sheet and tries to show the cop’s face.

Although the Police Commissionerate clarified the video, Twitter users were quick enough to react to the video. While some applauded the reporter for his work and compared him with journalists who try to spread hate on social media, others criticised him and asked him to have facts right.

Many have also questioned the reporter and argued that policemen also have the right to rest and the public can not expect them to work 24/7.
