Kanpur thief steals bundle of notes from phone shop, incident caught on camera | Watch
A video has come to light from Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur where a thief was caught in the act of stealing as the man was recorded on the shop’s CCTV camera. After the video of the incident went viral, the police also took cognizance of the case.
The incident transpired in Brahmanagar which comes under Bithoor Police Station.
In the video, a man can be seen vigilantly looking around the shop before reaching his hand behind the counter to steal the money. The man, after getting the money, steadily keeps the money inside his pocket after stealing it.
The man can also be seen looking around after stealing the money, to see if anyone has witnessed him while he was stealing and then dashing.

Police action
After the video went viral on social media, the police came forward to inform that the police station under whose jurisdiction the incident transpired has been instructed to take cognizance of the matter and file a case.

Another incident
Another incident came to light from Kanpur where the police were seen brutally beating up a BJP worker after he had approached the police to register a complaint. According to reports, the BJP worker identified as Sachin, had sought to complain against the accused who had his tea shop ransacked.
In the video, a man can be seen surrounded by the police officials outside the station gate as things get heated up. The policeman can be seen shoving the BJP worker inside the police station and then slapping him repeatedly. The cameraman can also be seen recording and following the police officials to record the arbitrary actions committed by him.
After the incident transpired, the BJP’s Yuva Morcha of Kanpur rushed to the police station to demonstrate against the police’s action. The incident transpired at Barra Police station in Kanpur.
