Karnataka bull race shows bulls running through fire in Mandya, video viral | Watch

According to reports, due to the burning haystack, a bull got out of control and ran into the audience area and knocked a man out as well during the procession. The injured man was rushed to the WIMS hospital where he is under treatment.

A video has come to light from Karnataka’s Mandya district where the bull race performed by farmers celebrating the Sankranti festival. The bull race was conducted over burning haystacks as bulls with their owners dash through the lit haystack.

In the video, many bulls and their owners can be seen rushing through the burning haystack as they participate in the bull race. The video shows various bulls dashing and through, what looks to be a scene out of a film.

The bulls can also be seen frantically rushing and jumping over the burning haystack as they head toward the finish line. The bull owners can be seen guiding the bulls to rush through the lit haystack.

After the video went viral many users came forward to add their take on the video as one user wrote and said that this is not a race, this is a tradition called Kichcu Haisodu which followed in the southern region.

One user wrote and said that these practices are dangerous and harmful, implying that forcing animals to run and jump through fire is not safe at all. Another user wrote and said that they thought this was a scene from Bahubali, implying that the bulls running through fire look identical to the Bahubali film.

Another user wrote and questioned the users on how this doesn’t qualify as animal cruelty, implying that the bulls running through fire should be deemed illegal and animal cruelty as it can harm and cause problems for the animals.
