Two women IAS and IPS officers were transferred by the Karnataka Government after the two women officers leveled allegations against each other and complaint to the Chief Secretary of the state. The transfer order was issued by Karnataka Government on Tuesday following their public squabble online.
As per the reports, IPS officer D Roopa Moudgil, managing director of Karnataka State Handicrafts Development Corporation, and IAS officer Rohini Sinduri, Commissioner of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments, indulged in a public spat where D Roopa shared private pictures of Rohini Sindhuri on Facebook. On Monday, Karnataka Home Minister Araga Jnanedra had termed the public spat between the two officers as improper behavior and cautioned that actions will be taken against the two.
After meeting with the State Chief Secretary Vandita Sharma, IPS D Roopa spoke to the media and questioned alleged pictures that were sent by IPS Sidhuri. She further said that it is not a private matter and added that she is publishing the alleged pictures allegedly shared by Sindhuri in 2021-2022 because she was able to access them now.
further said that if she had received the pictures earlier, she would have published the evidence then.
Launching back at the IPS D Roopa’s allegations, IAS Rohini Sindhuri had said and charged back at her and said that the IAS is neither her boss nor her senior. Sindhuri further said that the IAS can’t question her professional decisions on the public platformer as it is not proper for an officer. She further alleged that IPS D Roopa’s actions go against conduct rules.
As per the reports, IPS officer D Roopa Moudgil and IAS officer Rohini Sinduri were transferred from their respective departments following the directions of the Karnataka Government.
