Karnataka: 20-year-old stabs delivery boy after failing to pay Rs 46,000 for iPhone, keeps body for 4 days at home
In a horrific incident, a 20-year-old youth killed a delivery boy who came to deliver an iPhone to his residence which he had ordered online. The incident is reported from Karnataka’s Hassan district.
According to the officials, the accused, identified as Hemanth Dutt, stabbed Manju Naik (23) inside his house after they got into argument over paying the price of the iPhone. Later, Dutt kept Naik’s body for four days at his home before burning it near the Anchkoppal Railway Station.

The matter came to light after Naik’s brother filed a police complaint with the Arsekere police station after the victim went missing. Police then found a charred body near the railway station on February 11 and soon after the probe was initiated.
The police said during the investigation, they found that Naik, an E-kart delivery boy, had gone to deliver a second-hand iPhone booked by Dutt near Lakshmipura Layout on February 7. And when Naik asked for the payment of the order, Dutt stabbed him to death and kept the body at home for four days.
The accused then hid the body in a gunny bag, took it on his bike, and burnt it near the railway station.
The CCTV footage showed the accused carrying the dead body on his bike while he was on his way to burn the body. The police traced the CCTV footage and arrested Hemanth Dutt.
