Kartik Aryan, Alaya F starrer Freddy will release directly on Disney+Hotstar
Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan’s upcoming film ‘Freddy’ will be released not in theatres but on OTT platform.
The makers of the film have shared this news by making an official announcement on social media. This film of Kartik will be released on Disney Plus Hotstar. Although its release date has not been disclosed yet. But it is believed that this film will be dropped on the OTT platform next year only.
Talking about the film, Kartik Aaryan said that he considers himself lucky to be a part of the film, Freddy. He adds that the story of this film is something that he has never seen before. “The film has given me a chance to experiment with my craft. I am also eagerly waiting for its release on Disney Plus Hotstar. I hope the audience will like this new avatar of me,” Aaryan added.
However, when asked about Kartik’s role in the movie, director Shashanka Ghosh replied that Kartik joined the cast of Freddy a few years earlier.
‘I was surprised when I spoke to Kartik after reading the screenplay. I had anticipated significant alterations, but he insisted on maintaining the atmosphere’s gloominess,” the director added.
Upcoming Projects of Kartik Aaryan
According to media reports, this film will be streamed on OTT next year. Alaya F will also be seen alongside Kartik in the Shashanka Ghosh-directed thriller ‘Freddy’.
Talking about Kartik Aaryan’s work front, he will next be seen in ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’ apart from ‘Freddie’. Apart from Kartik, Kiara Advani will also be seen in this film. Along with this, Kartik has films like ‘Aashiqui 3’, ‘Shehzada’ and ‘Captain India’ lined up. Kartik was last seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.
At the time when there was a drought at the box office, Kartik Aaryan’s comedy horror film Bhool Bhulaiyaa-2 had performed amazingly on the Box Office. Adorned with stars like Kiara Advani and Tabu, the film earned a total of Rs 184 crore in 34 days.
