The Ghaziabad police have arrested a man for strangling his pregnant wife to death with Dupatta in Kullu and throwing off her body down the hill.

To mislead the police and the family of the deceased, the accused not only lodged a missing person complaint at Indirapuram police station but also pretended to be searching for her for seven months.

Police say that when the mother of the deceased, Bitto suspected the man changing his statements frequently, the police interrogated him sternly and his conspiracy was exposed. While being in a live-in relationship with Divya, the accused got married for the second time on May 3.

He killed Divya, who was three months pregnant, only 15 days after the marriage to be with another girlfriend. The accused committed the crime in front of his 2-year-old daughter.

Raman was in a live-in relationship with two girls at the same time, with Divya in a rented flat in Vasundhara’s Sector-5 and with another at another place. As soon as Divya came to know that he had married someone else, she started quarrelling.

There was a fight between both of them. On this he asked Divya to take a trip to Shimla. They went to Shimla by car with Divya and her two-year-old daughter.

DCP Deeksha Sharma said that Raman took her from Shimla to Kullu under Kumarsen police station area. After killing his wife there, he returned home the very next day and lodged a missing complaint of Divya at the Indirapuram police station.

Police recover car of the accused

The Indirapuram police also recovered Raman’s car and seized it from which he had taken Divta to Kullu in Shimla on May 18. On the other hand, Indirapuram police officials say that after the arrest of the accused Raman, other suspicious facts, in the murder case, will also be unearthed.
