UP Man playing lord Shiva during Ramleela collapses and dies, video viral | Watch
A man who tried to play the role of the maker of the world during Ramleela died on stage in UP. A video has been making rounds on the internet where a man who can be seen portraying lord Shiva in a Ramleela play suddenly collapsed on stage. The incident is reported from UP’s Jaunpur.
In the video, a man dressed as lord Shiva, in a leopard skin attire, can be seen holding a trident as others can be seen folding their hands in while the priest performs his prayers to the man playing Shiva. After some time, the man playing Shiva can be seen suddenly collapsing on the stage. The people, including the priest, can be seen getting up in order to get some help from outside.

Another incident of a similar nature came to light from UP’s Ayodhya where a man playing Ravan in a Ramleela play collapsed on the stage and died. The incident happened in Ayodhya’s Aihara Village.
According to reports, the artist playing Ravana’s character had complained about chest pains, however, before the artist could get help, he suffered a cardiac arrest which led to his death in the middle of the performance. The deceased was identified as Pati Ram and according to reports, the artist had been playing the role of Ravan for about 10 years.
Following the collapse of the artist, the audience who were there to watch Ramleela’s show broke into a panic. The panic even caused almost a stampede-like situation, however, the situation was dealt with as authorities reached the place and transported the unconscious actor to a nearby hospital.
The doctors, after examining the man, declared him dead and informed the media that the death of the man was caused due to an episode of cardiac arrest.
