Manipur Election 2022: Long queues of voters seen outside Imphal polling station
The first phase of the Manipur assembly election has started. The polling began at 7 am and will conclude at 4 pm on Monday. The first phase will cover 38 seats out of 60 seats in five electoral districts of Imphal West, Imphal East, Bishnupur, Kangpokpi, and Churachandpur. As many as 173 candidates are in the fray. Voters in Imphal East have come out in large numbers to cast their vote. Visuals from Chingmeirong Rongmei Upper Primary School in Imphal has been shared by a news agency where long queues of voters can be seen outside polling stations.

The first phase of the Manipur elections is being conducted on 38 seats. BJP chief JP Nadda and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have appealed to all to come out in large numbers and cast vote and said there one vote will decide the future of the state and the nation.
